Cast/Crew Biographies for "How Sweet It Is"


ELIZABETH McEACHERN (Performer)

Elizabeth has been performing improvisation, stand-up comedy, scripted theatre, and clown in Toronto, Hamilton, and London, England.  She has performed at the Toronto Clown Festival and she was a member of the Bad Dog Mainstage cast.    Other comedy shows have included A Night of Passion, The Cougar Cabaret, Other People’s Stuff, The All-Girl Review, and Alt.comedy Lounge. She has appeared in a number of plays including The Country Wife, Three Sisters, The Rez Sisters, and Two Precious Maidens Ridiculed.   She was nominated for the prestigious Phil Hartman award. 

She spent a few years in Britain where she studied clown with Philippe Gaulier.  In Canada she is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory, the Humber College School of Comedy Writing and Performance, and the University College Drama Program (U of T).   



BRUCE HUNTER  (Director)

Bruce has performed in dozens of  theatre, television and film projects.  These have included  Hannson, The Red Green Show, Good Will Hunting, Murder at 1600, White Mice, and The Danish Play  to name a few.   He has won awards for his commercial work in Canada and the U.S. He recently won the award “Pretty Funny Male Improviser” at the Canadian Comedy Awards. He played the lead in the 2003 Cannes award winning film The Truth About Head.   He is also one of the founding members of the improv troupe Illustrated Men. He can be seen as Agent Jones in Phil the Alien, as a writer and performer in After Hours with Kenny Robinson, and as Rocko in Puppets Who Kill. He is also the host and producer of AndGo an improv television show that is airing on City TV.
